MLM Brand || The Next Chapter In The Works
This next chapter isn't about doing more. It's about taking a look at what works well and building upon that foundation. It's about asking how we can make what exists exceptional, relevant and needed. All while building a business that's sustainable, aligned and profitable.
Today, I talk about the brand repositioning journey we've embarked on here at MLM Brand, and what you can expect to see from us in the next few months.
__________
I started MLM Brand in 2019. One dress in one color (who remembers the first black LBD?), no true marketing plan, no idea how to scale. Just a girl with a big dream, grit, hoping that "things would work out" because I designed a great product with a grand mission to create better postpartum clothing. After all, that's what we were used to seeing on social media. An overnight success, a brand that goes viral, a celebrity shoutout that sells out a whole entire production run. But most of us, regular business owners who made it past the dreaded five-year mark, know that's not how things work. It's a lot of showing up on days even when we don't want to, remembering our "why" and celebrating even the smallest wins.
Now, nearly 7 years deep into this journey, I'm ready to do things better. Without rushing. Without comparison. Without compromising on things that matter to me the most. With intention and precision. Rooted in purpose and our community. I've hinted at this brand repositioning a few times in my emails and on social media in the last few months, and I hope today's post answers some of your questions. This isn't a goodbye — though I'd lie if I said I hadn't thought about closing the brand altogether this past year. Rather, it's a brand tune up and an invitation for you, mamas, to let us know what you've loved about our brand and what you'd like to see from us moving forward.
Here's what you can expect to see from us in the next few weeks:
- crystal clear messaging and brand repositioning
- possible visual updates (though, probably no neon colors, ha!)
- no interruptions in shipping; possible delays in restocks as we decide which styles will make the cut and what new designs will launch in late 2026 / 2027
- a brand survey that we'd love for you to fill out - this survey will inform our decision making as we move forward
- finally, don't forget to shop our sale, while supplies last! This is your final chance to grab these styles as we'll not be restocking them in the future.
__________
Life with kids is busy and it moves fast, but it also makes you slow down and reevaluate. It makes you choose how you spend your days because their time with us, in our home, is so relatively short. Being a parent forces you to evaluate what a well lived life means to you in this chapter and how to define your success in this season of motherhood. Running a business that allows me to pick up my kids at 3pm and sleep well at night is my definition of success right now. It's the reason why I'm consciously choosing to scale back and keep my business "small" so I don't have to worry about finances and cash flows in a world where it all feels so fragile, temporary and uncertain. Because my ultimate definition of success means having the freedom to choose how I want to run my business and enjoy this chapter of my family's life to its fullest.
Remembering I already have everything I need is liberating. This next chapter for MLM Brand (or a new name?) is about listening closer, designing better and growing a brand that reflects our mission and shared values.
with love —
Magda
