Magda's Fall Capsule Wardrobe

I started MLM Brand with a mission to make getting dressed easier for breastfeeding moms (if you've been here for a while you probably know that already, ha). Postpartum felt like a blur to me, and the last thing I had the energy to do, was to figure out what to wear as a new mom. My maternity clothes didn't fit me anymore, while my "old" clothes didn't fit me yet. For as long as I can remember, getting dressed in the morning has aways put me in a positive mood and an (almost guaranteed:)) great start to a successful day. I didn't want that to change after my boys were born...
As a minimalist, I dreamed of clothing that was simple and versatile, yet, chic and made from high quality materials. I craved pieces that were beautiful to look at and soft to touch, and easy to mix and match with the clothes already in my closet. I wanted to wear clothes that made me feel put together, especially on days when I've felt like all I did was kept my babies alive and survived. Since 2019 I have sold thousands of breastfeeding-friendly dresses and tops that are exactly that — elevated, versatile and feeding-friendly. The best part? Our pieces seamlessly fit into your style and your closet.

A few times a year I like to share what I add to my closet throughout the year (following the "one in, one out" rule - if I add something, I also donate a piece in my closet that I haven't worn in a while or if I've worn it too much and it's time to replace it:)) Today I'm sharing a few pieces I'm adding this Fall that *I know* will look beautiful with our tops and dresses for a 100% breastfeeding-friendly outfit. Over the years I've become picky about the clothes I add to my closet. I usually go for pieces that are either sophisticated, timeless (something worth the investment that I see myself wearing for years if I’m spending more on it) or have that excitement factor that I’m truly obsessed with (and can't live without). With brands rolling out their Fall collections, I hope this post will inspire you to breastfeed in your style, while staying stylish, comfortable + warm.
You've probably seen that suede is everywhere this Fall! I LOVE it! I've just ordered this beauty and I'm also eyeing this fun jacket, but it might be a bit too loud. Would YOU wear it? After nine years with my beloved trench coat, I decided it was time for an update and just received this one. It's stunning and just the right amount of "oversized". We're going to Barcelona next week and I'm definitely packing it in my suitcase.
Once the weather cools off, I like to wear my dresses with a sweater or a cardigan over my shoulders for a cozy, yet sophisticated and, of course, breastfeeding-friendly look. I've actually had this one for a few years (it's SO good and I've worn it more than I thought I would!). This is one is a classic and super versatile. I have it in an ecru shade and it's been my favorite! If you're on the market for a pair of new denim, I've been living in these recently. Not a lot of stretch, so size up if you're in between sizes. I got them in two different washes and have been wearing the lighter pair on repeat since the weekend.
As for Fall / Winter footwear, I bought these sneakers because I needed something that's a bit more rain and mud resistant now that we live in Arkansas. My favorite pair of black boots looks very worn out after a few seasons, so I'll have to replace them soon. However, the temps are still in the 80s in AR, so for now they're saved in my shopping cart.
What are you adding to your closet as we transition from Summer to Fall?
xox,
Magda
