Happy Thanksgiving week, friends! I just wanted to take a moment to say how thankful I'm for YOU! Whether you're a new or a returning customer - thank for your support and for making this little corner of Internet better with me. Now let's get into what I really wanted to share this morning and it's this idea of getting dressed for the day as a form of self-care and self-investment in YOUR mood. I've shared this before, but it's a thought worth rehashing before the busy holiday season - getting ready for the day in an intentional way as a new mom had been a game change for me. What does that mean? When my kids were little, it looked like getting out of my yoga pants and putting on a white t-shirt and a pair of denim or a dress with chic sneakers. It meant getting dressed for a success of mothering little people. Just like with any other office job, I wanted my "mom" outfit to give me confidence to do my job well. While there's no universal recipe for "feeling put together", to me, it involves reaching out for pieces that are versatile and work well with different outfits. Over the years, I've added pieces that make getting dressed feel effortless even during the most chaotic mornings. Because, let's be honest, the days of standing in my closet and carefully choosing my outfit, are long gone, ha!
